Why erodeTEC?
The electrode is the key to the correct spark, as ut does a double task:
1. - Is in charge of transferring the maximum amount of current supplied by the generator to PCD tool
2. - Must transfer this current power stably, no peaks or valleys, so that the surface of the PCD has the minimum roughness and the tolerance between PCD teeth is as small as possible.
This not only requires a good alloy material, but is should be distributed homogeneously and also to be easy to machine, as any imperfection during dressing process of the electrode is transferred to PCD.
To achieve this, our electrodes are produced by a tungsten porous matrix to which copper is infiltrated, sintered and then machined to final dimensions.
Through various tests with some of the leading manufacturers of PCD tools we arrived to the current specifications.
